Pricing

All our family portraits have a $85.00 creation fee. This helps cover cost of materials, planning and actual creation of the images. This fee is separate and does not apply to the purchase of the portrait.

Choosing the correct size portrait

All or our family portraits are created with the largest medium format camera available (five times larger than 35mm). This format allows us to enlarge your portrait up to 40"x50" (sofa size) with excellent definition. This format also causes the images to look better as they are enlarged (opposite of 35mm format).

Your portrait of adequate size should be displayed in its own space. You also need to be able to enjoy your investment from across the room. If you have to walk up to the image in order to see expressions, it is probably too small. Ensure you invest in the correct size portrait for the room and space.

Specific image selection

Usually this is obvious. If you follow the suggestions on the previous page, your portrait should make you say "Wow, that is a great shot of our family". If it doesn't, it is not the right image. You must be totally pleased with the image. If you are not, we will be more than happy to re-create the images till you are happy with them.

Investment

Your portrait is expected to last a lifetime and it is truly an investment in happiness. Is the pleasure you receive from your portrait worth a few cents a day? If there was a fire in your house and you could only take one possession with you, would it be your Portrait? Incidentally, if you portrait is accidentally damaged or destroyed, we will replace it (16x20 and larger) free of charge.

Specific sizes

Sofa size 40"x50" is very large and should be displayed over a large couch. $810.00

Living room size 30"x40" displays very well in a formal living room. $510.00

Family room size 24"x30 is very nice and lends itself to a large family room. $325.00

Mantle size 20"x24" is generally the correct size to fit over your fire place. $225.00

Hallway size 16"x20" fits well at the end of a hallway. $85.00 (Digital)

Hallway medium 12"x18" fits well along your hallway. $43.00 (Digital)

Small hallway 11"x14" fits well along your hallway. $39.00 (Digital)

Office size 8"x10" fits well on your office wall. $24.00 (Digital)

Desktop size 5"x7" is a nice size for your desktop. $12.00 (Digital)

Previews are $7.00 and wallets are $2.00 each (Digital)

On 11"x14" and above, discount of 20% for second portrait of same image.
