The knot represents strength and stability. The monkey fist knot was used to throw a small line to a ship about to dock. The knot had a lead weight woven inside. They would then pull a larger rope over. These decorative knots are all hand tied and available in white, black and multi color. A weight can be added at no extra charge. Used as key chains and cel phone leashes.
